Westwood (recently Westwood Renewables) is the Midwest’s leader in solar electric design, engineering, and education.  Our staff has more than 50 years of combined experience in PV solar and wind energy and is regarded as the Midwest’s experts in cold climate PV design and development.  Westwood is dedicated to supporting the demands of commercial and utility scale renewable energy projects in the Midwest.

History

Founder and principle owner of Westwood Renewables, Mario Monesterio, contributes almost 30 years to experience in solar and wind projects in the Midwest. Westwood Professional Services is a land and energy consulting company servicing clients across America, assisting with thousands of acres of land development projects since 1972 and over 10,000 MW of utility scale wind and solar projects since 1997.

The companies joined on August 20, 2010. The combined staff provide a unique solution to helping to meet national and state level energy goals.  With the perfect storm in 2008 for renewable energy including fluctuating fuel prices, and energy security concerns, America will support renewable energy as we move forward.  No one else in the Midwest has the depth of experience to lead the charge for renewable energy solutions than Westwood Professional Services.
